Episode 243: Biopolitics and Power

This Tuesday, VSRF Live welcomes Sayer Ji, founder of GreenMedInfo, investigative journalist, health-freedom advocate, and Senior Advisor to MAHA Action, for a wide-ranging conversation about some of the most contentious issues in health and medicine today.

For decades, Sayer has challenged conventional medical narratives, dug deeply into the scientific literature, and questioned the growing influence of government, pharmaceutical interests, public-health authorities, media, and technology over the decisions we make about our own bodies.

And right now, he believes we are at an inflection point.

With measles once again dominating headlines, Sayer has been examining what he believes is missing from the prevailing narrative. How are outbreaks identified and investigated? How often is genotyping performed? Are vaccine-associated cases being adequately distinguished from wild-type infections? What role might the live-attenuated MMR vaccine play? And is the public being given the complete picture before fear is used to drive another push for vaccination?

But measles is only one part of a much larger conversation.

For Sayer, the vaccine debate has come to represent something far bigger than any single product or disease. It raises fundamental questions about the relationship between medicine and power—and what happens when public health moves beyond informing people and begins attempting to control their choices.

Sayer argues that the public has grown exhausted by fear campaigns, medical mandates, institutional gaslighting, censorship, and propaganda. He has experienced that censorship firsthand, losing access to an enormous social-media audience after being labeled a source of medical “disinformation.”

Now he is asking whether the biomedical establishment can maintain its authority without confronting questions millions of people want answered. Were the risks and limitations of vaccines fully disclosed? What do we really know about their long-term effects? Why have questions about chronic disease, neurological injury, autism, and sudden death so often been treated as dangerous rather than worthy of serious scientific investigation?

At the center of Sayer’s argument is one principle: informed consent. As he wrote this week, “Remove informed consent, and medicine becomes predation.”

That principle takes us directly into Tuesday’s theme: biopolitics and power.

Who controls the medical narrative? Who decides which scientific questions may be asked? When does public health cross the line from education into coercion? Can consent truly be voluntary when fear, mandates, professional authority, or social pressure are used to obtain it?

Sayer’s position is unequivocal: “The human body belongs first and finally to the person who inhabits it.”

Next Tuesday, Steve and Sayer will tackle measles, vaccines, censorship, informed consent, bodily autonomy, and the erosion of trust in modern medicine.

The conversation goes far beyond vaccines. It asks a much bigger question about the kind of society we want to live in: When it comes to our bodies, our health, and the medical decisions we make for ourselves and our families—who holds the power?
